Associate Professor, MD, PhD Kristine Højgaard Allin is an expert in the clinical epidemiology of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

During her PhD, which was based on the Danish population-based studies The Copenhagen City Heart Study and The Copenhagen General Population Study, she obtained expertise in clinical and genetic epidemiology. Her postdoc (based on a Sapere Aude research talent grant from the Danish Council for Independent Research) at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research was focused on the human gut microbiome, while she was also the manager of a molecular genetics’ lab in the center. Before joining PREDICT as Partner, she was Head of Section for Clinical Epidemiology at the Center for Clinical Research and Prevention in the Capital Region of Denmark.

Kristine Allin is Board member of The Epidemiological Committee (EpiCom) of the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organization, ECCO and The Danish Society for Pharmacoepidemiology. She is also Head of Education in PREDICT and affiliated to the Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Aalborg University Hospital.
